FAQ and How-To
- What is the mailing list? The mailing list is the preferred method for
members of THELUG to communicate with each other regarding interesting issues,
working out plans for a project, asking questions and generally helping each
other out.
- Do I have to sign up? Abslutely not. THELUG is scrictly a volunteer
environment. This means that we won't try to force recruit anyone into anything.
How-To Sign Up
To sign up for the mailing list, follow these three steps:
- Open an e-mail to majordomo@thelug.org.
- The subject line should be blank, but some mail clients will not allow this. If yours
is such a mail client, type some gibberish into the subject line.
- The body of the email should contain subscribe thelug-general you@domain.com,
where you@domain.com is the email address you want to receive email from
the mailing list at.
From this point, you will receive an email from the mail system walking you through the
rest of the process.
